I never actually read Moore's Swamp Thing run but I have some of his other DC/Wildstorm stuff. I'll have to look into it.
From what I've read I'd agree that the JLA book isn't the best, New Frontier is excellent, but the current JLA book is pretty bland. I prefer the current Justice Society of America run as it generational. You have WWII heroes, their kids/grand children, refugees from dead worlds and all the other wackos who just don't fit all on the same team.

Never really read DC as a kid. I have a few of the Alan Moore run of "Swamp Thing" but that's about it.

I'm not much of a comic fan, but I always thought the Justice League was particularly bad.
