My point being that it looks like there's a ton of money to be made in Storage startups.

Yep ex-EMCer, very interested. I played with a few ideas for a start-up when still in there, mainly on the SRM side, but nothing came of it. Is Moshe the guy who had all the Symmetrix patents?

Given that the storage crowd in Little Isalnd went nowhere, it'll be interesting to see if MPStor gets anywhere.
Moshe had a tonne of patents. Wasn't he one of the core hardware guys in EMC ? Left around 2000 didnt' he?

He used to have the patents. He was given a fat cheque and a non-compete along with the PFO from the company.
His was before my time but the legend lived on long after he left. The stories I heard were hilarious.
